EARLY LIFE

Sienna Miller was born on 28 December, 1981. She was born in New York City, USA but when she was just one year old, the family decided to move to London, England. Her parents, Edwin and Jo Miller, raised Sienna and her sister Savannah before getting divorced. Her father remarried, this time to Kelly Hoppen, giving Sienna two half-brothers: Charles and Stephen, and a step sister Natasha Corrett. Sienna’s sister, Savannah, is known as fashion designer. Miller spent her high school years studying in a boarding school in Ascot, Berkshire before she chose to fly back to her birth country to continue studying at Lee Strasberg Institute. Sienna Miller is both an American and British citizen and holds a  passport for both countries.

CAREER

Miller’s career started in modeling. Her first signed contract was for Select Model Management London under Tandy Anderson management. Her first jobs were modeling for Coca Cola, posing for the cover of Italian Vouge and to be a topless cover model in 2003 for the Pirelli Calendar. She is also famous and known as Boho Chic, associated with Kate Moss, a style of fashion which draws upon various bohemian and hippie influences. Other modeling contracts Miller signed were with Pepe Jeans London in 2006 and she designed for them under a label called Twenty8twelve with her sister, Savannah, which was launched in 2007. In 2009, Hugo Boss Fragrances made her an ambassador for their product BOSS Orange womens’ perfume.

ACTING

In film industry, Sienna Miller took her first role in South Kensington with Rupert Everett and Elle Macpherson. Keen Eddie, a TV drama, was her second debut before she starred in Alfie where she  met Jude Law. Her next performance was to play a role with Heath Ledger in the comedy drama Cassanova in 2005. A year later she played as a 1960s socialite in Factory Girl and was cast for a small role in Stardust, a Matthew Vaugh adapted movie. During the year, she was also cast as a reporter in Interview and an undead bride with James Franco in Camille.

Miller continued her roles in many different movies during 2008 including The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and The Edge of Love with Keira Knightley and Dylan Thomas. In 2009, she starred in a live-action film of G.I Joe and G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra which raised $54 Million in sales in the US on its opening weekend. Another appearance of hers was in the film Hippie Hippie Shake, with Cillian Murphy and in a play on Broadway titled After Miss Julie. She also participated in the London Production of Flare Path as Patricia at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

HUMANITARIAN AND PERSONAL LIFE

Miller was chosen as Global Ambassador for International Medical Corps which took her traveling to Congo in April 2009 and Haiti in 2010 after a big earthquake hit. She also contributed to an eco friendly campaign with Global Cool in 2007.

Miller had on and off relationship with Jude Law since she met him on Alfie which has always been criticized by press. They got engaged in 2004 but Law cheated on her when he had an affair with their nanny. They ended their relationship in November in 2005. Having finished with Law, Miller went with Rhys Ifans, a Welsh actor in 2007-2008. The relationship didn’t work out and she met Balthazar Getty who had just separated with his wife Rosetta Getty, a designer. That ended in 2009 and Miller began dating Law again but they separated in February 2011.
