Dutch actress Victoria Koblenko
Victoria Koblenko was born in Vinnystja, in the Ukraine on 19 December1980. She is a Dutch actress, presenter and column writer. She is most famous for her role in ‘Goede tijden, slechte tijden’ as Isabella Kortenaer.
For those who can speak a word of Ukranian, her name is spelled as; Вікторія Кобленко and the Russian variant of it is; Виктория Кобленко.
From the Ukraine to Holland
At the age of thirteen, Victoria moved with her family to Holland. They moved to Krimpen a/d IJssel. She did the Gymnasium at the Krimpenwaard College. Despite being completely unfamiliar with the Dutch language, she got her degree in 5 years. During her high school period, she worked on several TV commercials. After a successful audition at Harry Klooster’s casting agency, she received a role in Holland’s favorite soap, ‘Goede tijden, slechte tijden.’
Acting and Study
She combined her role in GTST with study in Political Science and a study about Russia at the University of Leiden. She played the role of Isabella Kortenaer from 26th September 2000 until 21 June, 2005. Since April 2010, she again took on the role of Isabella in GTST.
Aside from acting she learned how to present as well. She presented ‘Shock Doc’ for TV channel ‘Yorin’ and could be seen as one of the presenters in ‘Thuis’, a talkshow from Talpa. Other presenters of ‘Thuis’ were Angela Groothuizen, Froukje de Both, Gordon and Winston Gerschtanowitz. Due to having not enough viewers, the show was cancelled as quickly as it started, with a life span of only 3 months.
Career
Koblenko gained national popularity for her role as Isabella. During her work in the soap opera GTST she also played in ‘Costa!’ and ‘Het Glazen Huis‘ the first soap opera from the public station BNN. In 2004 she went to the big screen and played in ‘Stille Nacht’, directed by Ineke Houtman. This movie is based on a serial rapist from Utrecht. The premiere was during the Dutch Film Festival, in Utrecht.
Since 2005 Victoria has been writings columns for day-magazine ‘Metro’.
Horror
In 2006 she played in two movies, ‘Doodeind‘ (director Erwin van den Eshof) and ‘Sl8n8‘ (which means Slaughternight). Both ‘Doodeind’ and ‘Sl8n8′ are horror movies. She also played in ’American Dreams’ (2006). The movie is directed by Eelko Ferwerda. In this movie, Victoria plays the Russian wife of Harvey Lee Oswald. During the Hollywood Film Festival this movie received the award for ‘Best Short Discovery’.
Awards
In 2008 Victoria presented ‘Landroof‘. She received a ‘Tegel’ in May 2009, for the ‘Most Innovative’ program. In 2008 the program already won ‘Prix Italia’.
Koblenko is brains and beauty wrapped into one. She speaks Russian, Ukranian, Dutch, English, French and German and she is ambassador of the NCDO, an organization that tries to reach millenium goals.
Relationship 
Koblenko was romantically involved with football star Jevhen Levtsjenko (also from the Ukraine). The relationship came to an end in 2008.

Dutch actress Yolanthe Cabau van Kasbergen

Yolanthe Sneijder Cabau was born on Ibiza (10 March, 1985), a Spanish island. Her father is Spanish and her mother is Dutch. In total Yolanthe has twelve brothers and sisters, enough for a Spanish football team. Her Spanish background resulted in Yolanthe using both the last name of her father (Cabau), as well as the last name of her mother (van Kasbergen).
Youth 
Yolanthe’s father, Xavier Cabau was a very wealthy entrepeneur, and owned several hotels, restaurants and clubs on the island Ibiza. Because of his empire he is sometimes referred to as ‘the King of Ibiza’. His wealth is estimated at several hundred million euros. He passed away in September 2007.
Yolanthe moved to Holland at the age of five. As a little girl, she always wanted to start acting. When she was 17 years old, she started to take acting more seriously and made it her profession. She finished her degree for high school and the road was wide open so she got started at a theatre school. For a short moment she looked for other opportunities, but eventually she decided that she wanted to be an actress.
Big screen
The first movie appearance of Yolanthe was for the movie ‘Costa!‘, which was filmed in Turkey. After that, she visited Austria to film the movie ‘Snowfever‘ (2004). In Octboer 2008 she played in the soap opera ‘Onderweg naar Morgen‘. Here she plays the role of Julia.
In September 2006 the short movie Yolanthe appeared in the ‘Turkse Chick‘ (Turkish Chick) by directorLodewijk Crijns and was nominated for a Gouden Kalf during the Dutch movie festival. Yolanthe played the role of the beautiful Dilara, who steals the heart of a Dutch skater.
TV
Yolanthe has worked together with several actors for the program Crazy 88, for TV station BNN. There she worked with the likes of Jennifer Hoffman, Nicolette Kluijver, Hanna Verboom, Tygo Gernandt, Dennis Storm, Willie Wartaal en Filemon Wesselink.
In 2008 Yolanthe makes a move to family channel TROS. She presents, live, the TV show ‘TWINZZ’. After the summer-stop she presented a home video program called ‘Te leuk om waar te zijn’. (To good to be true).
Yolanthe won the Televisier Talent Award in 2008. Other that were nominated were Nicolette van Dam and Nicolette Kluiver. Yolanthe has also played in several video clips of artists like Ali B, Boris Titulaer and Charly Luske.
Sexy 
Yolanthe, often mixed up with Katja Schuurman, is not ugly. Nope. Most men in Holland agree that Yolanthe has some sexy looks and in June 2006, May 2007 and September 2009 the readers of FHM announced her ‘The most sexy woman in Holland’. In 2008 she voluntarily withdrew herself from the competition to give other women a chance (.)
Relationship
Yolanthe has been in a relationship with Jan Smit and the couple lived together in a house in Volendam, home to singer Jan Smit. However, the relationship didn’t last and in May 2009 the couple ended their romance. Not long after that, Yolanthe fell in love with football player Wesley Sneijder. Within a year, in the summer of 2010, the couple got married.
Lawsuit
During the shoots for the TV show Crazy 88, Yolanthe was fined for hitting a traffic camera (used to register speeding). She had to pay a total sum of 2500 euro for damages done.

Dutch actress Froukje de Both
Froukje de Both is a Dutch actress, television and radio host as well as a discjockey. She was born in Amsterdam on 20 April, 1972.
Froukje finished a degree in theatre at ‘De Trap’ in Amsterdam. She then got a chance to play in ‘Goudkust‘, a Dutch soap opera. Froukje played the role of Mariëtte in the TV series ‘Goudkust‘. She played in ‘Goudkust’ for three seasons.
Multi talented
In 2001 she also played in ‘Costa!’ (2010, by Johan Nijenhuis), where she took on the role of Frida. She also starred in the winter version of ‘Costa!’, ‘Pista!’ (2003, Mark Willard) In May 2002 she started to present a radio show together with Niels Hoogland, ‘Niels & Froukje’ on one of Holland’s most popular radio stations, ‘Radio538‘. Due to the great succes of this duo, Froukje her contract was extended for another three years in March 2005. She was the first female DJ that mustered a long term contract with a commercial radio station.
Early mornings
During the same month, she started a new radio show as well; ‘D’r uit met Froukje en Jens’. This program, which she did together with Jens Timmermans, aired on Sunday morning between 8 and 12. The early morning shows were difficult for Froukje and she decided to stop with the show. Starting from 2006, January, Jens does the show alone.
In the summer of 2007 until October 2007, Froukje was presenting ‘Thuis’ , a talk show for TV station ‘Talpa’. She works together with the likes of Gordon, Angela Groothuizen, Winston Gerschatnowitz and Victoria Koblenko. The show is eventually canceled because of the low rating. In 2006 Froukje took part in the TV show ‘Dancing on Ice‘ on the station RTL4, where she slides over frozen water with her partner Vitali Baranov. She makes it to the finals but eventually went home with a second place spot.
Looking for a husband
In the spring of 2007, the program ‘Wie word de man van Froukje?’ which means ‘Who will become Froukje’s husband?’. In this TV show, Froukje is on a search for the man of her dreams. Eventually, after finding the most suitable candidate, Alexander, she does not end up in a relationship with him. In October 2007, Froukje wins the prize ‘Lelijk Ding’ (Ugly Thing) twice, one for being the worst presenter and once for the worst radio show.
Young and Fast
Last year, 2010, started well for Froukje. She presented the TV show ’10 jaar jonger in 10 dagen’ (ten years younger within ten days). Here she helps couples who are ‘lost’. Three professional coaches will help them feel better, inside and out, in a period of ten days.
Currently Froukje is working as a presenter of RTL GP, a program that does reports about Formula 1 racing. In the autumn of 2008 she started to present ‘TV Makelaar’, together with Sybrand Niessen.
Three quick facts:

- She was chosen ‘TV Babe of the Year’ in 1999.
- Froukje lives together with her boyfriend, the 8 year younger Jeroen te Rehorst, also known as DJ Dekky. Together they have one daughter.

Dutch actress Katja Schuurman
Katja Römer-Schuurman, born in Bunnik on the 19th of February 1975. She is a Dutch actress, singer and TV presenter. She made her debut in the early 90′s and has since then shown that she can do anything; singing, dancing and acting. Nothing is too much for Katja.
Growing up 
Katja was born in Bunnik from a Dutch father. Her mother is from Curacao and has Dutch, Chinese and Suriname blood. This explains the rather ‘exotic’ looks of Katja. She grew up with her sister Birgit, who is also a singer. Katja graduated for her VWO in high school and after that studied Politics.
While she was still in high school, Katja played in a TV series called ‘Uit de school geklapt’ (Dropped out of school) from 1992 until 1993.
Breakthrough
Her big breakthrough came two years later, when she was casted as Jessica Harmsen in the TV program ‘Goede tijden, Slechte tijden’. Although she was only part of the program for five years, she grew and developed into one of the most important characters of the TV show. With her long curly hair and sexy voice she won the hearts of ‘Ludo’ (played by Erik de Vogel) and ‘Julian’ (Cas Jansen).
After a role in ‘Westenwind’ and some other projects, she played in the movie ‘Costa!’ (2000) as Frida. The movie was directed by Johan Nijenhuis. There were plans that she would also take part in the TV series ‘Costa!’ but that didn’t follow through. She also played a role as the dangerously sexy ‘Natja’ in the popular series ‘All Stars’ which also features Antonie Kamerling.
BNN
In 2001 Katja joined BNN, a Dutch TV channel. She is until today, still active for BNN. She can be seen in several programs like ‘BNN at Work’, ‘Lijst O‘, ‘Try before you die‘, ‘Katja VS’, ‘Ranking the Stars‘ and many others.
Movie
On the big screen, aside from the movie ‘Costa!’ she also played in ‘Oesters van Nam Kee’ (2002) and the following year in the movie ‘Interview’.
Medea
However, she always kept a strong connection with the TV industry. In 2005 she appeared as ‘Medea’ in the TV series ‘Medea’, from the late director ‘Theo van Gogh‘. She worked together with Thuis Romer’, with whom she later married.
Singing
Singing is another passion of Katja. She was part of the group ‘Linda, Roos and Jessica’. The group consisted out of three girls who were all playing in ‘Goede tijden, Slechte tijden’, and used their character names in the series as the group name.
She formed the group with Babette van Veen and Guusje Nederhorst . The song ‘Ademnood’ was by far their greatest hit and was at the top of the charts for 7 consecutive weeks.
After the succes she tried her luck as a solo artist. The songs ‘Maar nu heb ik er een’ en ‘Wereldmeid’ made the top 10 in Holland.
Relationship 
Katja has been in a relationship with Ray Slijngaard, Gerd Jan van Dalen, Ferenc Lorch, Egbert Jan Weeber and Teun Kuilboer. In 2004 she met Thijs and the couple got married in 2006. The proposal happened in Vladivostok and eventually they got married in Vallery, a small French village. Together they live in Uitdam, with their daughter Sammie who was born on 22 Apil, 2010.
Sexiest woman 2007
In 2007 Katja won the ‘Battle of the Babes’ and was considered ‘the most sexiest woman of Holland’. She can also be found in the Dutch FHM list of ‘Most Sexy Women’.
