HDV and DV Training Course

How to be successful in TV Production!

Elevate yourself during 5 days of practical training and discover your talent as a programme maker. Taught by BBC and Independent programme makers, it's your first step in becoming a Production Assistant, Producer and Broadcast Journalist.

You should be inquisitive with a desire to interpret what you see in the world around you, expressing this experience in the form of Television programmes that are both factual and entertaining.

Using a digital camera and a digital editor you will learn the fundamental techniques of making a 3-minute television programme.



The course promises to deliver a quick and easy modern approach to TV production using a wide variety of content such as interviews, vox pops, narration, archive video footage, moving images, soundtracks and special effects.

The type of programme you will be making will be a short promo, of your choice, which you will story-board, script, shoot and edit



This course is a fantastic start for beginners, and individuals who wish to update their knowledge of modern Production techniques

Taught by Mike Raycroft, he began his career at ITN as senior cameraman. While at ITN Mike devised many training programmes, winning ITN a national training award. Mike has continued designing and delivering training programmes for new digital start-up stations around the world, including the world’s first digital satellite network in Italy, followed by Asia’s first digital network in Malaysia.
